DAY 14
Today I made the Ak47 and the sawed off Shotgun. I decided not to add animations to the burning bodies, I also started to work on a body armor prototype for the player ( Taking reference from SWAT gear and other modern armor )
Tomorrow I might help Simran make houses or create some cannibal Bandits.
Hopefully nobody remembers I haven't animated the re-animated dead people.
This blog is all the work I am doing on our game, "Drop Dead".

Class 13
DAY 13
Today I made the pile of dead bodies Justin wanted. It consists of lots of pictures of the player character mashed up into a pile. Tomorrow I will add small little ashes and embers coming off it so its animated in game. Not exactly sure why we needed a pile of dead people, but it might have something to do with the story that Justin is coming up with. Hopefully we can implement this sprite into the game soon, because i'm quite curious to see it in game.

Class 12

DAY 12 Today I made two arms, one holding the machete straight up and one holding the machete on a 45 degree angle. This is all I made today, because I spent the class working with Howard and Justin on the implementation of my other sprites from previous classes.
We also talked about things to add into the game, Justin has requested a giant pile of bodies. So that's probably what I will do next class.
We also tested out different images for the main game menu.

Class 11
DAY 11
Today was a half day, so I couldn't get much work done on the artwork style of things, so instead I mostly discussed future plans with Justin and Howie. We talked about the potential in game music and story concept ideas. Along with this I am planning to create a arm holding a melee weapon so Howard can create the characters melee attacks.
Hopefully next class I can get that done.
(Couldn't upload my post until 12:48 due to unexpected internet problems, hopefully this still counts)

Class 10

DAY 10
Today I made the the car sprite more beat up so it fits into our game. I also added a version with a little more gore. Tomorrow I might add more props for the game or make animations for the players melee weapon.
- Helped Justin with the day and night cycle.
- Helped Howard with concept ideas for the main menu screen.
- Helped Simran with his (sub-par) Van.

Class 9
DAY 9
Today I started to work on the very important, Car Prop.
The way i'm going to make this sprite is in different stages of decay. First I had to make the normal version of the car (as seen) and then tomorrow I will add more layers over the original picture. The extra layers will include things like blood, rust, and dust.
- Having the clean version of the car is also handy because down the "road" we might have some functioning cars.

Class 8
DAY 8
- Created three props today, two trees and some more gore to be placed around the world to add to the atmosphere.
- There is a dead tree, and a slightly less dead tree.
(Slightly less dead tree has some minimal traces of green in it)
- The heads on spikes are from bandits or cannibals... basically bad people.
(That have not been added yet)
Tomorrow I might make the first bandit template/concept idea.
- After I make a few of them the rest of the group will decide which ones are the best and we will go from there.

Class 7
DAY 7
- Created a overlay for the screen when the player is indoors, Its hard to see. but thats the point.
- Also created a few props for the game world. Obviously you cant have a zombie game without corpses all over the ground.
-Hopefully the bodies add to the atmosphere of the game world.
- Tomorrow I will probably make more game world props, So just static sprites that add to the
feel of the game.

Class 6
DAY 6
- Made a layer of darkness and blood that will go over the players screen when they are injured. The picture to the right is a representation of what it should look like in game.
- Started to work on making the player holding weapons
(floating arm with a gun - not really worth a picture)
- Howie's plan is to have the arm rotate on the body of the character - making it look like he is aiming.
- Tomorrow I will make some blood sprites and some trash.

Class 5
DAY 5
Finished the three pictures for the running animation. However the legs on the first picture look strange because one of his knees are extremely low on his leg. Hopefully it doesn't look too stupid when it is actually animated.
(If it is I will fix it)
- Another problem pointed out to me by Ty, is that in picture 2 the arms and the legs should be in opposite positions.
NEW ZOMBIE
- Changed the zombies look with my little bit of extra time. Added some more blood and gore.
- I have given Howard the player and zombie sprites, so far it looks good in game.
Tomorrow I will probably tackle some more animations or make more variations of zombies.

Class 4
DAY 4
Today I didn't get around to making more zombie skins, instead we changed the look of the player character so he didn't blend into the background (His shirt is just red now)
Also learning how to make a simple running animation.
The running animation will hopefully be completed by next class.
The last picture of the running animation is still unfinished, so that is what I will work on tomorrow. The colors for the animation are Pink and Blue right now because I am using them as a placeholder.

(Pink) = Static

Class 3
DAY 3
Today I fixed the size issue by recreating the main character. The sprites will now look a little more detailed. We had group discussions about the style of the character and decided to go with a bearded main character (for now).
The zombie character could use a little extra love, so that is what I will do tomorrow, along with making him some more undead friends. Hopefully by the end of the game we will have at least 5 different zombie styles. Another thing I might do tomorrow is change the standing stance of the zombie so it doesn't just look like a re-skin of the main character
(Which it currently is)
- We might have problems later down the road because the style of sprites i'm making don't necessarily match up with Simran's sprites.
Simran is currently making the guns and weapons.
(I see fighting in our near future)

Class 2

DAY 2
Today I started making concepts for the main character of the game, I made four basic templates. Tomorrow I will fix a size issue and adjust the picture so it is 64x64 pixels instead of 32x32
Along with making more character designs including enemies.
ISSUE: Pictures on blog spot have really bad resolution, so I might try to fix that tomorrow.
